A complete rebuild of MichiganInitiatives.org into a clean, fast, responsive static website focused on government transparency, accountability and public engagement.
Project Overview
The original site had accumulated years of WordPress and Elementor content, media and layout dependencies. I rebuilt the public facing website as a streamlined HTML5 site while preserving the organization’s news archive, initiative history and key public information.
The rebuild included responsive layouts for desktop and mobile, migration of legacy media, restoration of missing page content, a self hosted homepage video, and animated initiative progress indicators that fill sequentially as visitors scroll to the section.
I also handled the final deployment from a staging directory into the live domain root and corrected asset paths so CSS, JavaScript, images, navigation and video all resolve properly across nested pages.
